(PHOENIX, AZ) – Two legends of golf and their sons will square off in a nationally televised Father’s Day match raising thousands of dollars for local charities.
PGA legend and Champions Tour Player Tom Lehman and his son Thomas will square off in a match play format competing against PGA and Champions Tour player Kirk Triplett and his son Sam. The two families take to greens at the famed JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Resort’s Ambiente course with each team raising money for their favorite charity, adding a compelling component for local causes. The one hour taped special ‘Father’s Day Match for a Cause’ will air at 10 a.m. MST on Father’s Day, June 21, 2020 on Fox Sports. It will also re-air several times during the month on Fox Sports Arizona.

Both sons are up and coming professional golfers and Tom Lehman couldn’t have seen a better opportunity to play with his son and raise money for his favorite charity at the same time. The Triplett’s played for Feeding Phoenix while the Lehmans raised money for Elevate Phoenix, a local non-profit organization providing 24/7 mentoring for at-risk youth.
“After years of being involved with many charitable organizations, I really focus nearly singularly now on Elevate Phoenix,” said Lehman. “There are so many kids in this country who are lacking in opportunities and in guidance in their lives, that an organization like Elevate Phoenix that provides mentorship and leadership from an adult to a kid who needs it is my passion and Elevate does it better than anybody.’
Along with compelling golf action, the program features Q&A with the players during the round, a skins game within the match and closest to the pin prize holes.
