A Night of Gratitude and Giving
The “2024 Elevate Phoenix Invitational hosted by Tom Lehman”, was a resounding success, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s 15-year journey. The event was a testament to the power of community, the transformative impact of mentorship, and the unwavering dedication of Elevate Phoenix’s supporters.
This year’s Galawas a night filled with inspiration, gratitude, and celebration. The evening was highlighted by a powerful testimony by Amaris, an alumni who was one of the first students to participate in the Elevate Phoenix program 15 years ago. She shared her story of overcoming adversity and achieving her dreams thanks greatly to the impact of having her mentor, and current Executive Director of Elevate Phoenix, Mrs. Dalila A. Gamper who still “does life” with her 15 years later. Amaris resonated with the audience, highlighting the profound impact of Elevate Phoenix’s mentorship programs and still inspires her to stay apart of something that has helped transformed her life by simply allowing her to be seen, heard, and loved unconditionally.

A Community United for a Brighter Future
The event was a true celebration of community, bringing together 300 supporters, mentors, students, and staff. The evening’s program featured heartfelt speeches, inspiring stories, and a powerful auction that went toward raising over $1.3 Million with the goal to continue to raise even more through the end of the year. The highlight of the night was the announcement of the new “Champions of Change Award”, presented to Dalila A. Gamper, our Executive Director at Elevate Phoenix who has made an extraordinary impact on the lives of countless students. Dalila was one of the very first Teacher-Mentors hired 15 years ago. She worked her way to the top of the organization consistently displaying her servant leadership and cherished culture of the entire Elevate family.
A Day of Golf and Giving Back
The following day, the Elevate Phoenix Invitational CelebrityAM Golf Tournament took place at the prestigious Phoenix Country Club, home of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. The tournament brought together celebrities, golf enthusiasts, and philanthropists for a day of friendly competition and fundraising. The course was packed with food trucks, contests for amazing prizes and was in prime condition. The event not only provided an opportunity for networking and camaraderie, but also raised crucial funds to support Elevate Phoenix’s programs.

A Commitment to the Future
As Elevate Phoenix looks to the future, the organization remains committed to its mission of “building long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth”. We are committed to empowering young people through 24/7/365 mentorship and education (in school and out of school). The 2024 Invitational was a resounding success, demonstrating the unwavering support of the community and the organization’s potential to make a significant difference in the lives of countless young people. In 2025, our event will return in November where we plan to once again exceed our fundraising goals.
