Elevate Phoenix celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King Day by promoting civility to our students, their families, and our community. We invite you to join us in changing lives and making a difference in this world.
Civility, by definition, is “formal politeness and courtesy in behavior or speech.”
But, in truth, civility is much more than that. It’s about treating others with respect, regardless of how they behave, or believe differently than you. It’s about courtesy and politeness. If, in your daily life, you treat others with genuine warmth, respect, and courtesy and are met with anything less than that in return, do not lower yourselves to that level, but rather, set the better example.
